Neues Museum Visit 18JUN14

BERLIN CATHEDRAL

Such a contrast inside and out - Beautiful sunny day outside and like a tomb inside!  The enormous building below is Berlin Cathedral, the short name for the Evangelical (i.e. Protestant/Lutheran) Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church in BerlinGermany. It is located on Museum Island in the Mitte borough, and is closely flanked by many historical Museums including the most crowded one, The Pergamon just to the left out of the frame.  I may have more photos to post later - !

Berlin Cathedral

Equally as impressive as the exhibits (to me since I do enjoy masonry work)
is the structure of this museum, beautiful sculptured brickwork ceilings
 - also the lighting of the exhibits made taking photographs easier with almost
no reflection from the glass exhibit enclosures to interfere with camera work.
